This stunning Yosemite Valley panorama first lured me post-college to California with its rock climb classics and spectacular waterfalls.

These days I'm more inclined to stay on the ground with my camera and paint brushes, but years of "touching rock" as a climber gave me a unique perspective that I relish and a connection that is still irresistible, nature I can feel through my hands.
